How To Hide Drive in My Computer

If you want to keep something hidden then you have to hide that folder, but that’s not safe as anyone can unhide it again; Now here is the solution for you. You can completely hide your drive so that no one can access it except you. Here is the steps to follow:
Hiding the drive:
1.Just goto start->run->type “diskpart” (with out quotes) and hit enter.
2.Now in this DOS command line, Type “list volume” (with out quotes).
3.Here select the volume of drive you want to hide, by using this command “select volume2” (Here volume2 is in this example, you can enter drive volume you want to hide)
4.Then type “remove letter d” (Select your drive letter, here we have selected d drive.) It will now hide the drive d from My Computer.
Unhiding the drive:
1.Just goto start->run->type “diskpart” (with out quotes) and hit enter.
2.Type “list volume” (with out quotes).
3.Now select the volume of drive you hide (before) by this command “select
volume2” (with out quotes).

4.Then type “assign letter d” (with out quotes). Dirve will be again visible in My Computer.

ISO's on the HTC Wildfire...

In photography an "ISO" is a type of measurement to show how sensitive to light a film is. Of course digital cameras and mobile phones don't use film, the principle is the same, it's how much light a photograph needs to take a good picture. The higher the "ISO" number the better it is basically. What we've got here are 4 similar images taken with a HTC Wildfire. The images are shot in 800, 400, 200 or 100 ISO (there is also the "Auto" option) and you will swiftly see the differences between them.

This image was taken with the ISO setting put to 100, it's dark and despite being taken in a very well lit area is murky and moody. Although it feels like it's been drained of colour and life you can see why people would want to use this sort of an option on the phone, pictures of things like graveyards would become darker and scarier.

This image was taken with the ISO setting put to 200. As you can see some of the light and colour has come back into the the picture. Although nothing looks particularly bight or vibrant it looks more like the room is just badly lit than anything else. Again this could be used to give images various atmospheric effects, though for the picture for me here it still feels a bit too dark.

This is the image taken with an ISO setting of 400 and is infact probably the best picture out of the 4 images. The image has plenty of light and yet is over exposured, it's light but it's real light and it doesn't look over the top bright. Although the image isn't as "true" as the 800 image below it's probably the best image as it dims down the bright light that was behind the camera.

This is with the ISO set to 800, it's the brightest of the images though due to the strong lighting in the room it's probably slightly too bight. The image is more "true" than the image above it though sometimes a little less honesty is a good thing. Generally if you're in a darker area this is the better setting though leaving the phone on Auto will generally be the best unless you are looking for a particular setting for a specific photo.

This was the image when the setting was put to "Auto", it appears to me to resemble the 400ISO image from above which would back up the idea that the 400ISO picture was the best choice for this particular image. Of course you should give the ISO settings a play about though to see what suits your particular subject matter.

To select the ISO setting on a HTC Wildfire you need to open the camer and then the Camera's menu then the settings option and ISO is the second option down below "White balance" which is another very over-looked feature that I'll be blogging about at some point.

A guide on getting your Samsung Wave connected to Wifi

If you follow this guide you will have your Samsung Wave online via a Wi-Fi conenction (if you have one available) in absolutley no time at all. We should start at this screen here where you need to click the icon for "Settings". In this case it's in the bottom left hand corner though can be moved around and may not be in the same place by default.
When you click on Settings you will see this screen open up. This is of course the settings menu which has a has of various sub menus. To connect to Wifi you need to click on "Connectivity" at this point.
This is the screen that opens up after you click on connectivity. Of course we are looking at Wi-Fi in our case though this may be a screen you end up going to on a number of ocassions mainly for bluetooth and the such.
After you click on "Wi-Fi" you get a list of all the local connections that your phone can find. Some of these are open connections which don't need a password, these ones don't have little locks on them (in the image you can see both the BTOpenzone and BTFON are open connections). Though the vast majority are "locked" and need a password. In my case the the one I'll be connecting to is the BTHomeHub2... which needs a password. When you click on on the one you want to connect to you will need to input the password for that connection to connect.
After inputting the password the you get a screen like this with a little loading symbol beside the the connection you want to use. This shouldn't last much longer than a few seconds before you connect.
This message should appear when you've managed to connect to which ever network you were trying to connect with. This will mean you are connected to it and as long as the box has got a valid internet connection you will be able to use the internet via it. Of course if the"hub" (or equivalent) is disconnected from the internet for whatever reason you may still be able to connect to the box, or conenct to the internet via 3G.
When the message from above disappears you will see see a small blue tick next to your connection and viola you are ready to go with full access to the internet to either browse the net, use social networking apps, downloads apps or do any number of other things.

QR Codes

Do you know what is QR Code?
A QR code (short for Quick Response) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.

Was checking a barcode reader and found that app that i was testing can read QR codes so this was it.

These are easily readable by most smartphones with camera by installing small app.

How to Receive BSNL GPRS settings through SMS for Any mobile phone

Here goes another simple TIP, usually people get GPRS services but face problem in configuring their handsets ie. mobile phone. BSNL provides a easy service by which you can configure your phone for their GPRS settings simply by sending an SMS. Then you will receive settings of GPRS on your phone automatically.

How to Receive BSNL GPRS Settings on your mobile phone
Step 1.
Simply send following sms from your mobile :

<Phone Company Name> <Phone Model> to 58355

So, if you want to receive settings for Nokia E75 phone then send following message to 58355

Nokia E75

Step 2.
Shortly after sending above sms, you will receive settings in various form of SMS, depending upon the type of phone, you will be given a temporary PIN using SMS first and then settings SMS will follow, you will have to provide that PIN in order to get your phone configured automatically. So when prompted, save settings.

Now you are done. Remember, while they have settings for most the phone, still some phones are not in their list. In that situation, you may try receiving settings of similar and more common phone. My phone was not in their list, I tried similar phone and I was able to receive settings.

Lastly,
Its a small TIP, hopefully will be helpful. If it helped you then please Stop by and give your valuable comments. Also, if their is any scope of improvement or correction then do let me know.
