Union Bank of India Self ATM PIN Generation through IVR


This facility empowers you to regenerate your ATM PIN through IVR  by calling up the 24 hour call center though your registered mobile number.          

Generate your ATM PIN through IVR just in two steps
:

  • Call IVR / Call Centre toll free on 1800 22 22 44 or on 022-25751500 / 25719600 ( chargeable) using the registered mobile number.
  • Select option 2 ( Information on debit cards )
  • Select option 4 ( Register for ATM PIN)
  • Input your 16 digit Debit card number
  • Input card expiry date in MMYY format
  • Input your 15 digit account number
  • Input your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format
After successful registration you will receive 8 digit tracker ID:
  • Call IVR again and follow the steps
  • Select option 5 ( Generating of ATM PIN)
  • Input your  16 digit Debit card number
  • Input card 3 digit CVV which is on the back of your debit card.
  • Input the 8 digit tracker id received via SMS
  • IVR prompts  you to enter PIN number of your choice
  • IVR prompts you to re enter the PIN for confirmation
  • IVR informs that the PIN change is successful
  • Your  self  generated PIN is ready for use

Union Bank IMPS, Procedure

What is IMPS?
             Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS) is an instant interbank electronic fund transfer service through mobile phones under the aegis of National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). IMPS facilitate customers to use mobile instruments as a channel for accessing their banks accounts and remitting funds there from.
Now you can transfer funds to any other Bank instantaneously by using your Mobile number and an additional 7 digit MMID number. All Mobile banking customers of Union Bank of India (Application Based & SMS Based) can avail the service under IMPS.  

How to avail IMPS?

               To avail the facility of IMPS, please register your mobile number with the Bank and get 7 digit MMID number. For receiving remittance, you will share your mobile number & MMID with the person sending money (remitter).You can register for Mobile Banking to use IMPS in the following ways:
How to get MMID number?
All our existing Mobile Banking/SMS Banking activated customers will be issued 7 digit MMID for the primary account registered. Their unique MMID number generated from the system will be sent to their Mobile number via sms.
All other customers can register their mobile number at Union Bank ATM for Mobile Banking and generate their Mobile Pin (MPIN).Users need to activate their mobile banking by typing the following syntax:
ACTV <Mpin> <New Mpin> <CONFIRM NEW Mpin>
Thereafter send the syntax:
<MMID> to 9223173921:
This will register you for IMPS service and generate your MMID. 7 digit MMID number will be sent to you over SMS on the mobile number used for registration. All IMPS enabled banks will issue MMID to their Mobile Banking customers.  
Users of Application based Mobile Banking can retrieve their MMID no. from the option “Know your MMID “incorporated under Fund transfer –Other Bank
Transfer of Funds using IMPS:
  • For Application Based Mobile Banking, please follow the steps as under:
  • Open the Umobile Application.
  • Select Fund transfer option –OTHER BANK
  • Select Quick  IMPS
  • Enter beneficiary’s Mobile Number & MMID. Enter your Mpin and amount to be remitted.
  • Immediately amount will be transferred.
  • You can also register beneficiary by his mobile number and his MMID if you do not want to avail Quick IMPS.
  • For SMS Based Mobile Banking, please follow the steps as under:
  • Register the Beneficiary (Bene) by typing the following Syntax and sending it to 9223173921
    ADDIMPS <mpin> <Bene MMID> <Beneficiary Mobile Number> <Bene Nick Name>
    Eg: ADDIMPS 1234 9229654 9857335465 TESTNAME
  • Transfer Funds by sending the below syntax to 9223173921
     CONFIMPS <mpin> <Beneficiary Nick Name> <Amount>
    Eg: CONFIMPS 1234 TESTNAME 100
  • Quick IMPS – In case you donot want to register a beneficiary (Bene) , you can transfer funds using the following syntax:
    QIMPS <mpin> <Beneficiary Mobile Number> <Beneficiary MMID> <Amount>
    Eg: QIMPS 1234 9857335465 9229654 100
