In order to download the Aadhaar letter, it is necessary to have both your enrollment number and date time of your enrollment. To see your downloaded aadhaar letter which will be in pdf format and password protected, Please enter the password and you can also take printout of your Aadhaar letter by pressing Ctrl + P.

If you have access to the mobile number that was given in aadhar registration, you can proceed through "I have Aadhaar" procedure in which you have to produce your Aadhaar Number, in order to download your aadhaar letter / card.

Else You can Use "I have Enrolment Id" procedure to download e-Aadhaar letter

  • Candidates may log on to website  http://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/eDetails.aspx
  • Make sure that candidate have, his/her enrolment number and date time of enrollment with him/her
  • Fill in candidates details such as enrollment number, date time of enrollment, candidate name, candidate's Pincode and verification code.
Example:-
Enrollment number (1895/8925/93685) and date time (01/07/2013 14:12:36)  (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss)

  •  Then candidate may Click on the "Submit" button
  • Then candidate will be asked to verify his/her mobile number by showing the last 4 digits of his/her registered mobile number. If the shown mobile number is correct then press Yes button and then you will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on the same mobile number as a part of verification process.
  • Candidate has to enter the OTP in the next field to get access to the electronic version of his/her Aadhaar lette/card
  • After that candidate will be provided with a link to download his/her e-Aadhar letter (in PDF format) 
  • In order to open the PDF format file candidate will need to enter his/her Pincode as the password

Indian government is issuing Aadhaar identification to every resident’s. Once residents enroll for

Aadhaar, service providers will no longer face the problem of performing repeated Know Your Customer checks before providing services. Residents would also be spared the trouble of repeatedly proving identity through documents each time they wish to access services. The central government is now routing 34 schemes to the intended beneficiaries through the Aadhaar card.








Aadhaar is a 12 digit individual identification number issued by the UIDAI on behalf of the Government of India. This Aadhaar number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India. Each Aadhaar number will be unique to an individual and will remain valid for life. Aadhaar number will help you provide access to services like banking, mobile phone connections and other Govt and Non-Govt services in due course.



How to update Aadhaar data?


Citizens can update the Aadhaar data online or through Post. People can update their Name, gender, DoB, address and mobile number through Self Service Update Portal.


Provide Mobile number details Is it mandatory when submitting Update Request through online portal. It may be used for Verification by calling the Applicant. Status of application will be intimated to the resident by sending SMS on this mobile number. Applications without mobile number for update through post or online will be rejected.

Depending on the field to be updated, attach self attested supporting documents as per the Valid Documents List in Aadhaar website.


Name Correction/Update – Requires PoI listed in “Supported Proof of Identity (PoI ) Documents Containing Name and Photo for Name Corrections/Update”. Supported Proof of Identity (PoI) Documents Containing Name and Photo for Name Corrections/Update: 1. Passport, 2. PAN Card, 3. Ration/PDS Photo Card, 4. Voter ID, 5. Driving License, Legal Name Change Certificate etc.


Date of Birth Correction – Requires DoB listed in “Supported Proof of Date of Birth (DoB) Documents are Birth Certificate, SSLC Book/Certificate, or Passport.

Address Corrections/Change – Requires PoA listed in “Supported Proof of Address (PoA) Documents Containing Name and Address”.1. Passport, 2. Bank Passbook, 3. Post Office Account Statement/Passbook 4. Ration Card, 5. Voter ID, 6. Driving License, 7. Government Photo ID cards/service photo identity card issued by PSU, etc.

How to Apply for Aadhar Card




           Aadhaar is basically a unique identification number consisting of 12 digits issued by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) and is to be given to every citizen of India. This will be a future identification way for every Indian and will be involved in all phases of life. This number will be stored in centralized database and will be the key to the opening of every citizen’s record from photograph to fingerprints.
Once the process of Aadhaar is complete it will be involved in every identification documents to avail certain services and otherwise. After Aadhaar will come into picture, there will be no repeated need to documents once identification before providing any services; it will do once and for all. This will be the magic of this 12 digit UID.
One must be interested to know what is process involved in applying for Aadhaar card. Here are certain protocols and steps to be followed. Anyone who is the resident of India satisfying the UIDAI process can avail Aadhaar card.

1)      Documents required are Aadhaar application form, photo identification proof and address proof.
2)      One may go to any official Aadhaar enrollment department in India to get your Aadhaar card done.
3)      There are 18 identification proof documents and 33 address proof documents that UIDAI accepts as valid proofs. Common among them are voters ID, ration card, driving license and passport.
4)      Photo identification proof can be done with likes of PAN card and residence proof can be done with electricity bill and water bill of past three months.
5)      At enrollment center you need to fill the Aadhaar application form and may take help of the volunteers there at the center.
6)      At enrollment center fingerprints, photograph and iris scan will be required as the part of the protocol to feed into database.
7)      A temporary slip with enrollment number will be provided as an acknowledgement.
8)      Based on your documents your details will be verified and in case if all comes right an Aadhaar number will be send to your address.
