Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission TNPSC 2012 Examinations


Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts examinations each and every year. The purpose of this TNPSC exam is for selecting qualified persons for various positions in the State Government of Tamil Nadu. About 170 exams are conducted by TNPSC for the recruitment in the government. TNPSC conducts Combined Subordinate Services Examination –I (CSSE-I) for directly recruiting in Tamil Nadu Government services. Depending upon the service written and oral exams are conducted. The students all over the state of Tamil Nadu appear for TNPSC exams every year. This is a highly competitive and tough exam and the candidates need to work hard for getting the job.

• The Candidate must be within the age of 18 and 30 years of age as on July 1st 2010.

Selection Procedure for TNPSC 2012 exams


1. The candidates have to take up a written examination of 300 marks of 3 hours duration.
2. The TNPSC written exam is divided in two parts:
• I Part: General Knowledge (Degree Std.) – 150 marks
• II Part: General Tamil / General English – 150 marks
The candidates can either opt tamil or English in the second part.
