Required Qualifications:

Candidates are required to possess Matriculation & Three years full time Diploma in relevant discipline from recognized university or institute.

Age Limit:

The applier’s maximum age limit should not be exceeded than 28 Years (as on 01/11/2014). The upper age Relaxation in will be followed as:

·         SC/ST: 05 Years

·         OBC: 03 Years

Selection Process:

Applicants have to obtain desired marks in Written Exam and further process will be followed by Interview.

Salary Details:

Selected candidates during first Year will be paid as Rs.10700/- and in the second year this amount will be Rs.12200/-

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Operator-cum-Technician, Attendant-cum-Technician. SAIl is going to fill 473 vacancies undergo selection process. Interested Candidates may apply through Online mode from the SAIL website on or before 05th July, 2014.  More detailed information is mentioned below.

Eligibility Conditions :

Age limit : 
A. For OCT, ACT (Boiler Operation) Post : 
1. General Candidates : 18 years to 30 years.
2. SC/ST Candidates : 18 years to 35 years.
3. OBC Candidates : 18 years to 33 years.

B. For ACT, OCT (Trainee) Posts :
1. General Candidates : 18 years to 28 years.
2. SC/ST Candidates : 18 years to 33 years.
3. OBC Candidates : 18 years to 31 years.


Educational Qualification : 
1. For Operator-cum-technician : Matriculation with 3 years full time Diploma in engineering in Automobile/Ceramics/Chemical / Civil/Electrical/Electronics or Electronics & Communication/ Instrumentation/Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production discipline from Govt. Recognized Institute or with 2nd Class or 1st Class Certificate of Boiler Competency. 
2. For Attendant-cum-Technician : Matriculation and ITI (full time) in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration/Draughtsman (Civil)/ Draughtsman(Mech)/Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Fitter/ Machinist/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Mechanic Diesel/Turner / Welder trades from Govt. Recognised Institute.


Selection Process : Selection will be based on the performance in written test and Interview.


Application Fee : 
1. Unreserved Candidates need to pay Rs. 250 for OCT (Boiler Operation, Trainee) 
2. Unreserved Candidates need to remit the amount of Rs. 150 for ACT (Boiler Operation, Trainee) 
3. SC/ST Candidates need to pay Rs. 50/-.
