1. For post no. 1 : BE of a recognized university/ Institute or AMIE (India) in Electrical/ Computer Science/ Information Science/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication Engineering.
2. For post no. 2 : Degree in civil engineering.
3. For Asst. Accounts officer : Graduation.
4. For post no. 4,5 : Diploma in Electrical/ Computer Engineering/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Civil Engineering .
5. For Assistant : Bachelor Degree.
6. For Jr. Assistant : PUC/equivalent.


Monthly Salary : 
1. For Assistant Engineer & Accounts Officer : Rs. 18,380 to Rs. 32,610 per month.
2. For Jr. Engineer : Rs. 11,750 to Rs. 29,070 per month/-.
3. For Assistant : Rs. 10,250 to Rs. 25,180 per month/-.
4. For Jr. Assistant : Rs. 9050 to Rs. 23,080 per month


Selection Process : Performance in test or interview will be the criteria of applicant’s selection going to be organized by the selection committee of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company limited.

MESCOM Recruitment 2015 - Apply Online for Assistant Lineman Posts

Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited, Karnataka invites Applications from qualified and eligible Candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Lineman. Interested candidates mayapply online from 12th December to 12th January, 2015. More detailed information such as educational qualification, age limit, selection process etc is mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification : Aspirants must possess following qualifications :

1. For ITI Aspirants : A candidate must have a pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electrician/Electronics/Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

2. For ITC Aspirants : A candidate must have passed 10th STD Examination and pass certificate of THREE YEARS “Lineman trade/Electrician trade” (ITC) imparted by the Industrial Training Institutes of KEB/KPTCL.

Other Requirements :  

1. Knowledge of kannada in reading and writing.

2. Normal eye Sight.

3. Must have satisfactory physical fitness and shall qualify in the Endurance Test

Age Limit : The candidates should have attained the age of 18 years as on the last date fixed for receipt of application and shall not be more than;
i) 35 years in case of General Merit candidates.
ii) 38 years in case of Category IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB candidates.
iii) 40 years in case of SC/ ST and Category I candidates.

Selection process : Selection of eligible candidates will be made on the basis of merit that will be prepared on calculation of marks in Qualifying Examination.

Application Fee : 

1. General Candidates and candidates belong to category I, IIA, IIB,IIIA, IIIB need to pay Rs. 400/-.

2. Candidates belong to Scheduled caste or Scheduled tribes category will have to pay only Rs. 200/-.
