Calicut University Single Window System UG/PG Admission 2014-15 - Calicut University centralized ranking process 2014, single window allotment online registration for admission in various degree (UG/PG) courses have been started @ http://www.uoc.ac.in/ugsw/. Kerala's largest University, University of Calicut will conduct the admission to the various degree courses (UG/PG) in arts and Science College under the Calicut University for the academic year 2014-2015 through centralized ranking process. It is actually a centralized or single window allotment process and known as centralized ranking process in case of University of Calicut. This is the second time Calicut University has used the CRP system for the admission procedures. They have started the single window allotment system in their admission procedures from previous year onwards. Candidates who are looking for admission in the academic year 2014-2105 to UG programmes in colleges that are affiliated to Calicut University can apply online for the single window allotment process. The CRP process is hassle-free process  that offers facility for online submission of application to multiple colleges and courses.

Candidates who are "Eligible for Higher Studies" as per the Higher Secondary Examination, CBSE Plus two examinations or a pass in the equivalent examination can apply for admission to degree courses in University of Calicut. B.A. Courses, BMMC (Bachelor of Multimedia Communication), B.Sc. Courses, B.T.H.M. (Bachelor of Tourism and Hotel Management), B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Application), B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce), B.B.A. (Bachelor of Business Administration), B.P.E. (Bachelor of Physical Education), B.S.W. (Bachelor of Social Welfare), B.H.M. (Bachelor of Hotel Management), B.L.I.Sc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science), are the courses available in the Calicut university CRP process. Students can opt any of the course to secure admission in Calicut University in the academic year 2014-2015.
Centralized ranking process (CRP) 2014
Candidates who will successfully complete the application procedures are only entertained to allotment process. The university has decided to start the centralized ranking process registration on 19th May Monday, although due to server problems they were rescheduled it onto 20th May. Apart from the last year's CRP process, Calicut University directly processes the allotment procedures as well as publication of rank list. More than 30000 seats are available to candidates in Calicut University which are distributed in about 230 colleges. Students who are looking to apply for management seats are also required to apply through online registration and need to pay the fees and receive user id and password before apply to the respected college.

CRP helps candidates to submit applications to 10 colleges of their choice and three options from each college through some simple online steps available in on CRP website www.uoc.ac.in/ugsw. A candidate can give option to maximum of 30 courses. There are two stages in single window allotment registration process. The first one is online payment and the second one is online application submission.

Instructions to pay fees through e-payment system for CRP 2015


To pay fees for Centralized ranking process candidates have to use  e-payment system. Below we are provided the instructions for paying fees through e-payment. Candidates need to visit http://www.universityofcalicut.info and click on the link for instant web payment system (CUIWPS) or can surf directly into https:// uoc.ac.in. There are two methods to pay the fees through e-payment. One is SBT online banking and another one is SBT e-chalan.

How to pay fees through SBT online banking


If you want to pay the registration fees through SBT online banking click on the SBT online banking button and note the intention of paying fees. Fill the columns 2 to 7 duly in the coming screen. You have to fill e-mail address and mobile number correctly to receive the receipt for the payment. Then you are required to click on proceed button. You will get the new window there you can see the details that you were entered. Now click on the Pay now button and then click on continue for payment button. You have to follow the procedures that are available in the SBT online payment site. You need to sign in id and password as well as transaction id and password to precede the payment and these will be given by your bank. You will return to the instant web payment system page. Print the receipt that is available in that page. You will get the username and password thereafter to your mobile. It may require 24 hours after payment.

How to pay fees through SBT e- chalan


If you want to pay fees through SBT e-chalan you have to click on the link e- chalan that is seen on the instant web payment system page. As do in above you have to duly fill 2 to 7 columns and click on SBT e-chalan and note the amount to pay. You have to print out the chalan and pay the fees nearby SBT branch.

How to apply for CRP (Centralized ranking process) 2014


Candidates can apply for centralized ranking process /single window allotment process admission in various degree (UG/PG) programmes through online by visiting the CRP website http://www.uoc.ac.in/ugsw/. Students should upload their photo, personal and educational data to the online application on the CRP website after remitting the required fee as Rs 100/- for general candidates and Rs 50/- for SC/ST candidates. Photo size should be less than 40 kb. Candidates have to keep print out of the  chalan and application. Allotment will be published on university website. Candidate can accept the allotment and join the respective college.

Seats to apply through single window allotment process in Calicut University


  • Candidates for seats except Sports Quota Seats in Government Colleges can apply for CRP.
  • Candidates seeks admission in Open Quota Seats and seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in aided colleges can apply for CRP.
  • Candidates looking for admission in 50% of the total seats including the seats reserved for SC/ST/SEBC of Self Financing Courses in Aided Colleges can apply for CRP.
  • Candidates looking for seats under University Quota Seats (50% of total seats including the seats reserved for SC/ST/SEBC) in Self Financing Colleges run by IHRD can apply for CRP.

Last date of online submission and receipt of hard copy of application


Candidates should submit application online and take two print out such as University copy and college copy. They have to send the University copy along with chalan receipt to Deputy Registrar in the following address. Candidate should write 'APPLICATION FOR UG CENTRALIZED RANKING PROCESS' on envelop, while sending the application.

              The School of Distance Education under the University of Calicut has invited applications for admission to various Under Graduate/Professional and Diploma courses of Academic Year 2013-14.

Under Graduate course offered & Eligibility

BA History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, English, Malayalam, Arabic, Philosophy, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil : Pass in Kerala +2 / equivalent
BA Afzal Ul-Ulama* :
Pass in Afzal-Ul-Ulama Preliminary (after pass in SSLC)/Pass in Higher Secondary Education with Arabic as a paper in Higher Secondary or SSLC.
B.Com:
Pass in Kerala +2 with at least one commerce subject or Pass with 45% (24 GPV) in Kerala +2 / equivalent or diploma in Commercial Practice
BBA: Pass with 50% or 27 GPV marks in Kerala +2 / equivalent.
B.Sc Maths:
Pass in Kerala +2 with Maths group/equivalent: Pass in Kerala +2 with Maths/ Computer Application/Statistics with other combination at HSE Level.
BSc. Counselling Psychology :
Pass in Kerala +2/ equivalent. Apply through the concerned
BMMC :
Pass with 45% (24 GPV) in Kerala +2 / equivalent. Apply through the concerned Programme Centres.
BID :
A. S.C. (10+2) of Kerala, H.S.C. Board or equivalent Board of any state.
B. Where 10+2 scheme is not introduced, candidates must have passed after 11 years schooling the higher secondary pre university, pre-Engineering of Equivalent examination of any recognized University of Board of any state.
C. Passing 10+2 any course in architecture, Interior, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Supervisor, Architectural Assistantship, Architectural, Civil draughtsmanship or similar courses in architectural, Civil, MCVC of any other technology in which
Engineering drawing is covered – all recognized by the Technical Education Board Kerala or equivalent Universities and Board of any State
D. Preference shall be given to the students who have passed design aptitude test (iDAT).
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend studio test and interview. Interior Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) for eligible candidates for BID (Bachelor of Interior Design) will be held at the concerned Programme centres.
Diploma in Hotel Management (1˝ Years):
Pass in Kerala +2 /equivalent. Apply through the concerned Programme Centre.
Diploma in Gemmology(1 Year):
Based on an Entrance test (+2 level Objective type). (Pass in +2 or equivalent). Apply through the Programme Centre, Malabar Gold Pvt.Ltd, Calicut.
Diploma in Multimedia and Animation(12 months):
Pass in higher secondary examination conducted by state or union governments in India Apply through the Programme Centre, Vismayam School of Animation and Special Effects, Pavamani Road, Calicut-1

(3) Details of Spot admission is available in the Prospectus.
Candidates have to report with printout of application, fee receipts, and all original certificates and get admitted. The certificates will be returned on the spot. Spot admission fee 50/- (to be remitted by chalan).
