• Junior Scientific Officer (JSO) in Tamil Nadu Forensic Science Subordinate Service  - 64 Posts - Basic Pay 36900 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Matrix Level 18 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4800 in Pay Band II category) - Age 30 years
• MSc Forensic Science with BSc Physics / Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Biology / Physical Anthropology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Genetics / Environmental Toxicology / Computer Science
• OR
• MSc Physics  (with BSc in Physics / Chemistry)
• MSc Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Inorganic Chemistry / Physical Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Applied Chemistry (with BSc in Physics / Chemistry)
• MSc Zoology
• MSc Botany
• MSc Physical Anthropology
• MSc Biochemistry

  Age Limit Details for TNPSC JSO Posts :
  Cut off date for age calculation is 01.07.2019
  Minimum age limit is 18 years (should have completed) for all.
  Maximum age limit is 30 years (should not have completed) for UR candidates  (except destitute widow).
  No maximum age limit for BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates and Destitute Widow of all communities, includes UR.
  PwD : Persons with Disabilities will get additional 10 years relaxation.
  

  TNPSC JSO Examination Details :

  Two papers in MCQ type of examination.
  Paper I : PG Degree Standard Forensic Science / Biology / Chemistry / Physics / Computer Science Total 200 MCQs ; each questions will carry 1.5 marks ; Total 300 marks.
  Paper II :  General Studies (Degree Std Level) 75 MCQs ; Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (10th Std Level) 25 MCQs
  There is no negative marking system.
  Personal Interview 70 marks.
  Examination Centres : Selected Districts in Tamil Nadu
