Union Public Service Commission, UPSC
is going to organize National Defence Academy & Naval Academy NDA (I) at various centers. UPSC has invites eligible candidates to fill up posts of 375 vacancies for Defence and Naval Academy job posts.  If you are interested and eligible candidates then you may participate in examination by applying an application form on or before due date of 10th February 2017.  It is a new opportunity to apply an online application through online mode. 



Interested and eligible candidates may fill up an application form of NDA / NA through online mode. UPSC conducts NDA examination twice in a year (in the months of April & September) to offer admissions in defence sector (Army, Navy and Air Force). In April month UPSC conduct NDA & NA (I) examination and in September it conducts NDA & NA (II) examination.

UPSC will conduct the NDA & NA I exam for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the defence posts for national Defence Academy and posts for Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme). NDA NA (I) Examination will be held on Sunday, 23rd April 2017.  A huge number of candidates are willing to appear an examination of NDA NA (I). Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination.

 Short Note about UPSC

Union Public Service Commission is known as UPSC. It is the autonomous body of the Government of India. It is a recruitment agency established for conducting the examination and arranging the interviews to select the qualified and talented candidates in the vacant posts in the government services. UPSC reveals the recruitment notification each year and conducts the exam.

Age Limit
Candidate’s age should be in between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2001.

Qualification Eligibility

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy

Candidates must have passed in 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy

Candidates must have passed in 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.


Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Selection Process

·         Written Examination
·         Psychological Aptitude Test
·         Intelligence & Personality Test

·         SSB Interview


Application Charges

Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs.100/- through Online Mode by using Credit or Debit Card.

SSB Selection stages
·         There will be 2 stages in SSB- part I & part II. Qualified candidates of part I will be called for part II.
·         Part I will include officer intelligence rating test, description test & picture perception. The candidates will be selected on combined performance of all the 3.
·         Part II will include interview, group testing officer task, psychology tests & conference. 

Exam Pattern
·         The question paper will be divided into 2 section- Mathematics & General Ability sections.
·         There will be total 120 questions scoring total 300 marks for Mathematics section and 150 questions scoring total 600 marks for General Ability Section.
·         Total marks for the NDA examination will be 900.
·         Duration of examination for section I will be 150 minutes and for section II will be 150 minutes.
·         There will be penalty for each wrong answer.



Physical Standard Test
Candidate must be physically fit. Candidate must fulfill physical standards norms such as height weight and eye sight.

How to apply for UPSC NDA/NA 2017 Examination
·         First, go to the official website of UPSC that is www.upsc.gov.in.
·         Then fill up an online application form
·         Get a registration link and open it (will be available after official notice for NDA 2017).
·         Once the application form is opened, read out all the instructions and then fill the details.
·         Make sure details which you have entered should be in accurate and complete format.
·         Before submitting application form, re recheck details once again.
·         After that you will be asked to pay the application fee.
·         You can pay fee via both online and offline mode.
·         Make sure that you take the print out of conformation page of paying the fee.
·         After that upload all the details accurately and lastly submit it.
