Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi has made a communication about JNU Recruitment 2016 through issuing a vacancy notice for the JNU Recruitment 2016 against the 91 faculty jobs.

The Government emphasis on a gender balance and women candidates with good academic record, teaching/research experience and working in related areas of research are encouraged to apply. University also solicits applications from candidates with research interests that are interdisciplinary.

Professor	An eminent scholar with a doctoral degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, and actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research/policy papers. A minimum of ten years’ experience in teaching including experience of guiding research at doctoral level. . A minimum score as indicated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as set out in the UGC Regulations, 2010. Associate Professor	Good academic record with doctoral degree in concerned or allied/relevant discipline. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’. Eight years’ experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor. A minimum score as indicated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as set out in the UGC Regulations, 2010.	Rs. 37400-67000 (PB-4) AGP Rs. 9000/-
Assistant Professor	Good academic record with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree level, in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from accredited foreign University. M. Phil and Ph.D. in the relevant field prescribed in appropriate cases, a desirable or essential qualification. Qualification in the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC	Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) AGP Rs. 6000/-

Age Limits:

The age criteria shall be decided by the organization for offered positions.

Selection Procedure:

The selection shall be done only through the Personal Interview which will be conducted by the organization.

Application form duly filled, in all respect by the candidate must be supported by self-attested copies of all certificates, Mark Sheets, evidence of teaching, research experience and degree certificates, copies of reprints of published articles, certificate containing the record of date of birth, etc. Documents enclosed with the application may be listed and securely tagged in chronological order to avoid loss in handling. The application should be submitted to the following address so as to reach on or before the closing date.
