Qualification Required:

Name of Post		Qualification Required
Sub Inspector	Workshop	Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent OR Three years Diploma in Mechanical or Marine or Auto mobile Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
	Master	10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or university and Second Class Master Certificate / First Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by the central or State inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department
	Engine Driver
Head Constable	Master	Matriculation from recognized Board or Equivalent and Serang Certificate.
	Engine Driver	10th or its equivalent from a recognized Board or university and Second Class Engine Driver Certificate
	Workshop	Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and Industrial Training Instituted Diploma in  Motor Mechanic (Diesel / Petrol Engine) Machinist / Welder/ Carpentry/Electrician / Filter/ Air conditioner Technician / Electronics Plumbing / Upholstering / Painting from a recognized Institution.
CT	Crew	Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and One Year of Experience in Operating Boat below 265 HP. Should know summing and Possess a certificate lo this effect from a recognized Institute / swimming pool or any authority to give such certificate.

Mode of Selection: The selection of contestants shall be based on their performance in the following phases: 
• First Phase will include Written Exam
• Second Phase will involve Physical measurement (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Interview and Medical examination.


Age Limit :
• For SI (Engine Driver & Master): 22 years to 28 years
• For Rest Posts: 20 years to 25 years.


Salary Scale:

Head Constable	Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-
CT	Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2000/-
